I am writing this post with a stomach ache so pardon any mistakes, misspelling or grammatical errors. XDDD
Hello to all and welcome to the continuation of my previous post!~~~
So there I was blankly staring at the computer with nothing to do in a cold, drowsy Saturday. I just finished my tedious Math homework and was utterly bored. I've been putting off the dreaded (I thought at first) book by passing the time net surfing and watching YouTube videos. At probably 6'o clock, I finally decided that it was time to get the thing over and done with. So with all my laziness in tow, I grabbed the book in the deep caverns of my schoolbag. I got ready by wearing my thick, puffy jacket, made my bed a fort and curled up inside it with an extra blanket to top. Come hell or high water I was ready to go.
The first couple of minutes were slow as I was still adjusting from play to work. I call this time the "Premature Phase" which is usually the 10-25 minutes of reading a book. The Kite Runner's premature phase was riddled with chores and loud noises. Little did I know that the seeds of longing to know what was next and the profound effect it had on the blob of flesh that is me was sown. The constant interruption definitely fueled my desire to further my reading which is something rare itself.

At a key part of the story I had to go somewhere and had to abandon my comfort zone (my bed). After I had rebuilt my comfort zone, the bed-fort,book and I became one. Pages after pages I could not stop. I will not stop. 10,30,60 minutes have gone by but the book was now glued into my hands. I wasn't able to let go. I was in the book living and breathing the playful yet tragic tale of Amir and Hassan. The seeds had blossomed into a endless field of literary flowers (sounds corny, non?). It finally dawned on me that I was half way through the book and it was already the next day, Sunday, that I had to stop. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the book and finish reading it.
So what is the moral of this long, dragging and blog that keeps going on and on and on?
Simple, never judge a book by its cover!
"There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person."
