Here We Go Again.....

Hello dear Readers,

Due to recent events I have to basically re-focus the content of this blog towards a certain guideline. As I said before this blog is intended for a semester-long project concerning 2 main subjects: ELA and Social. The class that I am in decided to create a rubric that "regulates" the quality, frequency and inclusion of media in our blogs. I tried valiantly (my ELA teacher would beg to differ) to reduce the amount of work and thought that goes in to my blog. But alas, I was defeated by his supreme wisdom and my spirit was demoralized by the lack of backing from my colleagues. Therefore, I would now like to apologize for the amount of writing that will be present during each entry. Side Thought: When I found out that we were doing blogs, I thought a paragraph would suffice for an entry but maybe I was thinking of Twitter.

(The Great Battle of the Rubric, victor: the Teacher)

I never liked writing blogs nor will I ever like it. Maybe I'm just a perfectionist (I know, I'm full of myself) that it takes me more than an hour or so to write a blog entry. LOL. In case you were wondering I did really laugh out loud when I typed that. Oooh! Before I forget and dive in to the realm of academic irrelevancy, the new focus will be MDGs and for the most part, the beautiful country of South Africa. If you can, after reading this blog please acquaint yourself with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) put forth by the United Nations. Basically, it's eight goals or targets that the UN wants to achieve by 2015. They are:

                                 1. To end poverty and hunger
                                 2. Universal Education for everyone
                                 3. Gender Equality
                                 4. Child Health
                                 5. Maternal Health
                                 6. To eradicate HIV/AIDS
                                 7. Environmental Sustainability
                                 8. Global Partnership

Here's the UN website: http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/

I know that it seems far-fetched and I agree with you dear Reader but my ELA teacher something wonderful about doing your part. I forgot the rest, for which I am very sorry. I am also researching the indigenous people and identity of South Africa. So if you are well-versed in this subject (and no, I'm not talking Wikipedia, though I love the site) please feel free to leave a comment to contact me. That's another thing about me I'm really paranoid about other people getting my personal info. so please don't be offended. XD. Anyways, I have to get back to my Science assignment and Math review. Have yourself a wonderful day/evening dear Reader.

From a very tired DayDreamer......
